While struggling to draw Leonardo's baby Jesus, I wondered how he convinced his child model to stay seated and not move. My granddaughters don't sit still long enough for a minute gesture sketch.
I had tried to do a quick drawing of the oldest grandchild and stopped for a few minutes to put laundry in the dryer. When I returned my little two-year old model, with pen in hand, was drawing over my picture of her. Children always have a way of humbling you.
So Mr.daVinci, did you ever have a budding little artist add some finishing touches to your drawing? Anyway, I treasure my drawing all the more because of my granddaughter's scribbles.
