
These
winterberries added just a little more color to the wreath I was making while waiting for power to return. Three wintery days later, power was finally restored.
I never think to be grateful for heat and running water, but when they're not available, I wonder why I didn't bow my head sooner and give thanks. Another thing I tend to take for granted is family. When you're weary, tired, and defeated, they're there three hundred and sixty-five days a year to lend a hand.
This Advent season, I've come to realize how rich I am.
