Our first December snow, which sounds as if it will all be melted with temperatures warming later next week. But for today, it was just the right touch adding to the beauty of Advent.
We made a quick run to the famers' market this morning, which in the winter is held at a local lawn and garden store with an attached greenhouse. It was a pleasant contrast to the cold temperatures and white that was falling outside.
When winter seems a little long at times, there's always that brief escape that can be made to the local greenhouse to forget what season is underway. For now though, we'll enjoy decorating for Christmas--and in stages too, to build up the anticipation.
