Secret Society

It was a perfect day for taking photos of wildflowers that I've sketched over the years. With such a mild February and March, everything appears to be blooming about two to three weeks ahead of time.

The formation of this group of Wood Anemones, also referred to as Windflowers, rose like some secret society meeting in the woods. Read the origin of this flower's name and its reputation among cultures,  and it could be the makings of a novel that might rival The Black Tulip
