Kensington Gardens

One of my favorite books as a child was James Barrie's Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens. Though I was too young to read the book, Arthur Rackham's illustrations allowed me to create my own narrative. And my favorite! I always envied Peter's being out and about at night with the denizens of the park.

Several weeks ago the moonlight was so bright I would wake thinking the outside light had been left on. And when I watch the moon rising between the pines and the oaks, Peter Pan and Kensington Gardens still comes to mind.
