I know it's been a long day when my husband is searching for a show that will help him forget about work. When, or if, he complains about his day, it's always brief and then he's done with it.
My husband, like his father and my father, put in an honest day's work to provide for family. I don't mean material things as much as the basic necessities: food, clothing, and shelter.
My husband has always put family first, himself last. And yet when I've mentioned to him how self-sacrificing he has always been, he treats it lightly and tells me he couldn't imagine it to be any other way. Happy Valentine's Day, hon, and thank you.
